Assistant Professor of Computer Science, Illinois Institute of Technology
Nathaniel Hudson is an assistant professor of computer science at the Illinois Institute of Technology—in addition to maintaining a joint appointment at Argonne National Laboratory. He completed his Ph.D. at the University of Kentucky in 2022 and a postdoctoral appointment at the University of Chicago. His research investigates the design of algorithms and systems for resource-efficient AI in decentralized machine learning systems (e.g., federated learning, edge AI, smart cities). His research has been recognized by multiple best paper awards and he himself has been distinguished as a rising star in cyber-physical systems in 2024.
